Playing computer game is really fun but excess of it can badly effect our eyes. But other then that I don't think we might get any other health problems while playing computer games but yes playing games does effect the computer hard disk badly and excess playing might reduce the life of your pc so it's better to play it for limited time only to avoid getting problem in your pc.

Im sure that excess anything is bad. Excess computer gaming could cut in to ones chances to get exercise or take the time to prepare a healthy meal as well.

I think everything have bad and good side. a long as you can manage your time and not just stuck up in front of your computer playing games, it's ok. I agree with you, playing games can make people feel happy because we need concentration to play and for some time we can forget about our problems,,hahaha.. playing games can make our imaginations grow and our reflect good too, I think. Furthermore, with so many online game nowadays, playing games can be one way to make new friends^^,,, Continue playing as long you do other activity too,, like work, make good relationships, eat&drink, etc,, Ok? Happy myloting friend^^,,

Too much of anything is bad for you, even water - overdosing on water can cause hypnotraemia which can kill you from swelling on the brain. Take things in moderation and you'll be fine, including gaming... speaking of which I think I'm going to play Call Of Duty 5 online in a minute on the x-box 360 lol.

According to my X-box 360 manual, it's recommended that for every one hour of gameplay you should have at least a 15 minute break. If you don't suffer with epilepsy you should be fine. However, spending most of your life playing video games can result in you becoming very self involved and not realizing how much the world and things around you are changing. When you do eventually come out of it and realize how many things have been going on in the real world it can be quite shocking and send you into a mild form of traumatic stress.

What I find quite shocking, especially with Call Of Duty 5, is the amount of fully grown men out there who were queuing up outside the shop to buy it - the shop opened at midnight on the day of release so people could pick up their copy early. I'm talking about 30-40 year old men qeueing up outside the shop in the middle of the night! Personally, that just seems a bit sad. I spent most of my childhood playing video games, I don't want to spend my adulthood doing that too, that's just a waste of life. you'd think that middle aged men, especially ones with children, would have much more important things on their mind like taking their children to school in the morning. I know that some games like this are supposed to be for over 18's but it gives the impression that these are men that are still children in their minds - it's kind of sad. Speaking of which, a year or so ago I had an interview in my local jobcentre and got talking to my personal advisor who told me about his last client who was a 35 year old - he had turned up late therefore delaying my interview and said he was late because he ended up staying up all night playing this cool new game on his x-box!

Excess of anything is always bad! So, if you spend hours playing computer games, its likely you'll have a bad eyesight! Also, it depends largely on the type of games, like sports, arcade, action, adventure etc. Action games have a bad impact on mind, and some kids try to imitate and turn violent. Games are meant for refreshing the mind, rather than exploiting it.

I love computer games very much and am focusing on E-sports games such as warcraft, counter strike. Without E-sports games, I do not how to get thought lots of hard pervious times. Besides mood adjustion as you mentioned, playing E-sports games can also give the player prudential thoughts, macroscopical thinking and sophiscated manipulation ability. However, playing should be restrained to a proper extent, like we do any other things. Apt controlled playing games is cool for most of people, I think.

Everything has its own good and bad, even with playing game. If someone take it so serious in bad way, it is bad. They need to balance between playing game and their real life activities.

it depends on how you want to see it, children should not be allowed to become too obsessive with computer games otherwise they may not perform better in school but it has also been discovered that playing computer games is a way to enhance the brains functioning and the ability to think better

I just saw an article in SHAPE magazine about how shooting and racing games improve your vision. I don't think the game itself is bad for your eyes but when you play in poor lighting it can screw them up. Also people who say that violent games influence people to be violent, I disagree with. Those kind of people who are so easily influenced by a game already are messed up in the head, and would most likely pick up back influences else where. I think games are great fun and can improve your mood, when you are sad or frustrated it feels great to accomplish something in a game. It's also a healthy competition like sports.

You have some ups and downs to playing computer games. The downside is that it's bad for your eyes, it can be addicting, and way too time consuming if you play computer games during your school year. The good side is that it could increase your eye and hand coordination, and you may be able to meet some online friends. But still it's a virtual world. Some kids play way too much due to the addiction.

playing games is good to have fun. but on the down side it can mess up your eyes also it can get you addicted.playing games is fun but it is good to take a break for an hour or two and play out side instead. also you should always be careful when your playing games you will never know who you are talking to. alothough playing games are fun you should watch out for health and saftey reasons.

Every coin has two sides. Of couse, playing too much computer games is not good for your health. but if you can control the playing time, it will be a good way to relax yourself. By the way, Computer games are my favorite, but i force myself just play 2 hours every day. ^_^
