*We are all busy responding and making new discussions in this site almost everyday and at least 2 hours a day. i just wanted to ask, does your hand get hurt. and if it does, do you stop and rest or do you keep going?? what are the complications if you did go overboard with mylot while your hands are tired. the keyboard that i repaced is as hard as a rock when ever i type the keys. *I watch a news coverage once about a severe carpal tunnel syndrome that if you used your hands oo much it will clogged inside and might get sevrely hurt that a doctors needs to open it wide to remove the stuff clogging inside your hands. *what do you do, do yu relax your hands, how long before you start mylotting again?

Odd that u should mention this because i have been having trouble w/one of my fingers. I don't know what it's from. I had a stroke a few years back & have problems w.that sometimes but it may be to much time on the computer.

Wow my mom had the same problem but she decided to go to my sister in laws mom and had her finger massage. when she came back the pain was gone. i think what may have happened to your hand had something to do with the your veins. and it happened to me too in my ear, i thought it was my brain but it was actually some of my veins got clogged a bit.

Hi Letran! I have carpel tunnel syndrome and have had it for many years! It doesn't come from using a computer for just 2 hours of typing a day! I was a Legal Secretary who did 8-10 hours or more of word processing a day for over 25 years! And I was a scretary/medical assistant for 15 years! So you don't get carpel tunnel syndrome overnight! I haven't had any surgery and don't plan on getting any and I still work on my computer for sometimes 6 or more hours a day! There are wrist braces that you can get at a local pharmacy over the counter that will help give your wrist a bit of a "rest". Sometimes if I am in alot of pain I will wear it for a few days or sometimes just at night when I am sleeping. It does help. You can also take Ibuprophen if the pain is really bothering you! Also, if your keyboard is really tight then maybe you should get one that is an easier touch.

The new 1 year old key board has some letters that i can't just type like w,e and number 2. and few days later the letter s wasn't functioning. so, i have no choice that i have to replace the supposed to be new one with the old one. it's hard to punch in but at least all letters in the keyboard are working.

Hi Let, I am on my computer all day and night and I do have to rest my hands and I do stop to go cook dinner and do house work or go out for a little, so my hands do get rests, hope yours are too.I like your avatar. Tamara

well, i did change it because i got bored with the old ones. but i still upload it in the photo section, just that i am into this kind of image and profile. i don't do dishes after computer because it pains more if my hands soak with water after hours of using the computer.

No, my wrists have never hurt My Lotting. And carpal tunnel is a concern anyway, but there are a lot of things you can do to decrease the risk. There should be ample wrist support at the key board and the mouse, and it should be at the correct hight for you. You don't want your elbows or wrists bending in a funny way. Yes, rolling out your wrists should help too, but considering carpal tunnel syndrome is typically from a collapse in the tunnel in your wrist, the best method would be to prevent it. I've never heard of it "getting clogged." If you experience pain regularly, I would talk to a doctor, or at the very least go buy yourself a wrist brace for you while online.

Now i am limiting my mylotting because the pain in my hand happens after at least 4 to 5 hours of mylotting. oh, collapse tunnel, huh? you're right the best method is to prevent it from happening.
