hey!! dear mylotters, I have recently just make friends with a nice handsome guy and have started liking him too. But i am wary of starting a relationship without having an accurate knowledge on his background and brought up. He has just told me yesterday that he have done all his schoolings in the hostel ever since he was seven years old because his parents divorced during that time. And now, he is 26 but have spended around 16 years in different boarding schools. Thats kinda weird. I want your opinions on the type of person that stays in a boarding schools for that long because I have a feeling that its going to have a lot of impact in his relationship with others. thanks for your comments!!

Have a few dates with him or go out for coffee and discuss things like that. After a few times, you'll know if it impacted him negatively or not. My main concern would be that since he wasn't around his parents, he would have trouble bonding with people but he may not be affected at all. That's what the dating process is for, getting to know each other. Don't get physical with him before you get to know him. (Personally, I think physical relationships should wait for marriage, but I'm just an old prude!)

hi, i don't know much about the environment of the boarding school, i haven't been there... but all i can say is that, let this friendship continue, just stay friends at the moment and as time passes and the more time you spend with him(just as friends) the more you will know about him, and when you find him reasonable enough, then is the time for you to confess or make him ocnfess...lol
