Today, I met a stranger and he said he has no money to go back home, and what he wanted is only something to eat. Then I took him to the restaurant and bought him some food. However, later on, my friend told me that that man was a swindler, and he was sent into the police before. I am really sad. Should I trust a stranger anymore?

I think that what you did was very nice. Not everyone out there is out to scam you. Though unfortunately there are more swindlers then good folks it seems so I would try to be very careful. Going to a public place was a smart idea since then there would be people around to help if something where to go wrong. I believe we need to trust our intuition and base trust off of each situation but someday karma/fate/God or whatever you believe in will reward you for your kind heart and actions.

Yes, You have done a good thing, the right one. It is not a matter of trusting a stranger because all people around us actually are strangers. Good or bad the people is not a part of what you did. You must be happy on what you have done.

NO not anymore nowadays my friend. Just remember even in your own backyard there's no such safe today. There are so many people who are always finding ways to do some illegal ways to gain their own interests...be careful always

i do think it right for you to do that ,just like a mylotter said,if you are really kind enough to offer some kind of help, you had better bring him to a piblic place for the sake of your safety,if i were you i would rather give him some money to avoid some unneccesory troble.

I think you did the right thing, but that's just what I think. If he's had to turn to swindling he's in need anyway! It's good that you bought hi a meal instead of giving him cash. I think that's always a good idea. Even putting gas in someone's vehicle is better. That way even if they are swindling you they didn't get any cash to go spend on something illegal! Keep your heart!

I had the same experience. A girl said she was very hunger at stop station, she wanted to lend me money, I gave her some money. Later my co-worker told me that he met the girl many times, she was a swindler. Fortunely, you did it right, you didn't give him money, and gave him food. In my opinion, we shouldn't trust a stranger that he want to borrow money from me. I can give strangers some food if they are hungry.

I think it depends on the situation. What was happen to you is that he just a ask for a food to eat. And you a did a right thing. Don't judge the person on what he his before. If he does nothing bad to you then you should not look at him as a bad person. He just ask for a food and its okay. As long as you know how to observe then you will never be cheated by a stranger.
