prayer for peace

For all who wish to join me on a day when we pray for peace the next one is 7/23/2009
at 7:30PM your own time. It doesn't matter who you pray to or how, this is a time we
all send energy around the world for peace. There are now several million people
all around the world involved. I am involved because I made a new years resolution to pray for peace each day. I do this at 5:00AM each day and have people who join me.
All are welcome.

This is something I will be very glad to do. It's something one can participate in regardless of denomination or sect, or even personal belief. What a wonderful thing to share on Mylot! How many years have you been involved in this?
May the peace of the Divine find its way into each beings heart and soul.

I know that these things have been around a long time, I remember as a girl in catholic school the Pope use to call for prayers for peace on certain days. But I have not paid much attention to this as an adult, it was just after I made the new years resolution that they started coming to my attention again.

Hi savypat, I have noticed that there seem to be many groups who often get together from all over the world to envision world peace. I sometimes take part in one sponsored by James and Salle Redfield using the Internet or telephone, people come together for an hour focusing their attention on one of the hot spots in the world. I also believe that Neale Donald Walsch of Conversations with God, have sponsored similar programs. I think that many people gathered with one intention, sending out positive energy can make a difference. I realize that your idea is to have people of all faiths and religions pray in their own way. I see nothing wrong with that, in fact it can only help bring about unity. I will mark my calender for the 23 and gladly join you. Blessings.
