Could filtered water be unsafe?

Philippines

I have been a user of filtered or purified water for a very long time and it makes me feel safe to be drinking filtered water. I installed a filter to may tap and that was good until it came for me to change the filters. I could not find the kind of filter elements that fit so I just went with bottled water. That's when I learned that some water-purifying stations don't change their filters as often as they should and they also adjust their filter to allow more water to pass through which might also allow the undesirable things to pass through. Any ideas?

I have heard the same thing here and I alsonotice that when there are any demolitons or renovations being done nearby, the colour of the water from the tap changes slightly This has caused me also to wonder whether it is really as s afe as we have been led to believe in the past. I stick to bottled water too as that, we hope, will be the safest.

It's too bad we have to hope that the bottled water we spend our hard earned money on to buy is filtered and safe for us to consume.

I have to change a drinking water filter about 3 years because the water drinking company told me to do that.I use the reverse osmosis system in my drinking machine.I think it cleans and no effected to my body.

I think I have to take a look at new filtration systems.
