do you have a good memory or bad memory?

i have a bad memory especially recently,i just found i forgot to take my purse when i settle accounts with cashier,i even couldn't recall where was my purse,same situation like this often happend,but it would be a big problem if i make some mistake on my job for my bad memory,so i have to write something important down on my job,so do you have a bad memory as me or you have a good memory and rarely forget something?

i have developed my mind in such a way that i remember only those things that are important to me.. if i feel a bit also that it is not related to me or is of no use to me then i can never remember it even if i try to keep it in mind.. I think thats the only reason most of the time people forget things..

yeah,you are right,we shouldn't waste our mental resources,because there are so many stuff need to fill in our brain,so for some useless,just let it go.

I cannot tell you what someone ask me 5 minutes ago .But I could tell you anything you wanted to know about my childhood . When your mind fails you find other ways to remember. I use post notes, this is my life saver for short term memory.

i also use post notes to remind me especially on job.
i often recall my childhood,it is strange that i have a large memory in my mind about my childhood even though some tiny detail.so i am a pretty nostalgic person.

I also have bad memory. I always forget where I put things. When I see some important things lying around, I keep it somewhere safe but the thing is, I don't remember where I put it when the time comes that I need to use it.

I'm sorry to hear that. I also have a bad memory that's why I have to take down notes everytime I need to remember something, or make a list. I am now in college and it's a real pain especially when I have to review for a major exam or if I have to recite a poem since I usually can't remember much form what I have read. I am also bad in remembering important figures and dates, and even on face and name recognition.

I am good at remembering numbers. I usually remember phone numbers or such in my brain. Unless, I stored it directly into my cellphone then I won't recall anything about it. But I am sux at remembering a person's name and face. You can talk and tell me your name but I'll forget about it after 5 minutes we depart. I can only remember someone after being together for quite a time. I am trying to change that.
