Motorcycle Rallies, Noise or Fun ?

Our town hosts a motorcycle rally every year called Thunder in the Valley that my family and I visit every time, some people have stated in our local readers forum that all it is, is a bunch of noise and that it makes some of the locals leave town during the event. My family and I love it, the great bikes, the music and the food and booths bring life to our somewhat boring town, not to mention alot of business. What do you think, have you ever visited a motorcycle rally and is it noise or fun for you?

A little bit of both.I like to go but I usually have a headache when I come home.It doesn't seem really worth it anymore though,it seems to be getting smaller and smaller and more exspensive.

Yes but it doesn't cost much to walk around and look at the bikes or listen to the music.

Certainly fun.. there are just so many cool things happening in a race and I like it very much.. The throttle sounds, the finishing line, the rounds of races, the adrenaline feel for your favorite rider and many more.. I love all kinds, Motocross, rallies and everything..

I find more people are for the Rallies than against them even the older people seem to enjoy everything that goes on.

In general, I have a strange fear with the rallies, rallies of various kinds. At musical rallies, fans are pulled so close to their star, singing and moving in such comformity. The motorcycle rallies might serve the same purpose. They have the same dream. It is understandable, but to tell the truth, I would never go, just for fear of my ears and heart.

Thank you for responding. I think the only problem I ever had was finding somewhere to sit or not being able to see one of the bands playing due to the crowds. The noise of the bikes never really bothers me.

We do some riding ourselves, and we attend a few different bike rallies each year and we have a great time, We get some camping in, good food and the company of some good people, and the music is great to. And most of them are being held to help out a local charity. and you are right they bring in a lot of business to the towns that they are held in.

It's so true the business that these events bring with them, I don't see how people complain as long as it is helping someone out and helping the local establishments I think it's worth it.
