I have tried many antiviruses and the best ones are not free. I think Mc affe is the best one. I have tried AVG free edition but it was not good enough. It couldn't delete all my viruses.

Hey, Well I personally use Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, and so far it has treated me better than Norton Internet Security 2009 has, AVG and Windows Live OneCare. It detects and removes more viruses than all of them, you should try it out! Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

Just activate the Firewall of your Windows(that could help a little) and install an antivirus:AVG is a good one,but you can also try Nod32 or Kaspersky. AVG is freeware and you can make daily updates of virus definitions and stuff.

And something more:use partitions;make a smaller one that you 'll use only for Windows and Program Files.

I am using McAfee. I think it use to be known as Norton Anti-Virus. If you have comcast it's free for you or you can get someone who has it (comcast) to have it installed in your computer via their username and password to comcast.net. I only ever had to reformat once, 'cause I got hacked, but McAfee even mapped where the attack came from. The virus was reported and now I'm immune to it..

I am currently using Live One Care, it's expensive ($49) a year but it catches viruses quickly and quarantines and destroys them. Another good utility, that's free, is Advanced System Care which you can find at iobit.com, I use it to clean up my compter, it's a great utility.

If you have that bad of a problem then you need to really clean out your system and then keep a good anti-virus like Avast running all the time. Avast home version is free and can be downloaded from http://www.avast.com/ To clean out and fix your system try the 8 step program at this website and it should fix you right up: http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic58138.html I am assuming that you are running windows.

MAC AFEE and AVAST HOME Edition and Quick heal are the best antivirus as per my experience, at this time I have installed Avast free antivirus with serial no in my pc. but If you are ready to buy Antivirus legal version then E SCAN antivirus is the best.

I used to apply Norton Antivirus to my PCs, and it was quite good and effective. In more recent years, I've stopped paying the licence and switched to the AVG free edition, and I hardly have any viruses in my system. I'd like to think that AVG is quite an effective antivirus software. I think many other users who use AVG feel so too.

We can not say any anti virus software as good or worst as every one is capable of identifying some sort of virus and infections. Also no anti virus software can find and remove all the threats. We can say some software as the best by considering the fact that how much resource it is consuming in our computer. I will be using two or three software if I need to find some virus and sometime it has happened to me that none found any virus in my system, though I had the symptom of virus. I formatted the system many times after trying with three or even four anti virus software. Now I am using Kakpersky,Avast and Norton in my systems.McAfee is finding more virus than the others, but it will consume more resources of our computer.

I use norton antivirus and it has helped me many times from having virus infection. Some people like it and some people hate it. I would look into a good free one but I can tell you form exp free ones have not really kept my computer as safe as the one I currently have norton antivirus.
