or get it at the store? I like to do both, I have a chocolate chip cookie receipe that nothing can beat! () but there are couple brands cookies just taste different and I like to get them once in a while. I'm eating Pepperidge Farm soft chunk cookies right now for snacks and a cup of hot tea, so nice! What about you? Do you make your own cookies?

Hi mermaid...I love to bake but it's just been so hot and humid here lately that I don't want to turn the oven on unless I truly have to. Maybe this weekend I"ll look for no bake cookies!

The version I make involves the stove, you melt a few ingrediants and then mix in oats and peanut butter. they only take about 10 minutes to make from start to finish and are a great chocolaty treat.

Oh that's nice, baking your own cookies! I'd love to bake my own cookies, cakes and pastries too but sadly I don't know how to bake. Even preparing those ready to mix pan cakes available at stores, I don't know how. I find baking more difficult than cooking a meal cause of the measuring stuffs done in baking. So I just buy them at baker's houses and groceries. Like what I did a while ago. I bought my all time favorite chips ahoy! hehe. Ciao!

That's true... we can adjust the flavor and stuff easier by just adding a little more.

I like to do both, but I believe I prefer them to be fresh.

I am overweight and so I do not keep any junk food in the house (if I did I would eat it, that is just the way it is). If I want something sweet I actually have to get out the cookbook and make it from scratch. During Christmas time I will spend days making cookies to give away as gift to friends and family, I have found many recipies that are so much better than the version you can buy at the store.

If I am going to eat cookies, or other sweets then for the most part I want to have them home made. I like nuts and chips in my cookies. There is nothing better than home made chocolate chip cookies or butterscotch chip cookies. If you are going to buy cookies the Pepperidge Farms makes the best some of the best.

I love to bake my own cookies; & my kids love me for that. I usually bake during the colder months (here in the NoEast); but if one of the kids request a particular kind I usually don't hesitate. Every once in a while I'll get store bought: oreos double stuff; chips ahoy. Our favorite homemade cookies: Chocolate Crinkle Cookies (my grandmother's recipe) Peanut Butter (also my grandmother's recipe - she used to use homemade peanut butter - yumm!) Chocolate Chip (a GREAT recipe from a little know baking cookbook from Atlanta which only published old-fashioned recipes). Love to bake!!!!

i usually buy packaged cookie mix or frozen rolls of cookie dough to make chocolate chip cookies. i rarely eat store bought cookies because i find the hard and crunchy. i like the soft and chewy ones, so the home made ones are the best.

I don't like the cookies made at the store too, I would rather cookie mix.

I really prefer homemade cookies. When I look at the ingredients on store bought cookies I tend to feel that they are not healthy, they have nothing good in them. I think a lot of manufactuers us corn syrup rather than sugar. I tend to use less sugar and whole wheat flour, also I am looking for cookies that don't need eggs as my husband has kidney problems and has to watch how much protien he has each day. This summer we have bought cookies a couple of times but I really don't fancy that kind of sweet stuff when its so hot, I prefer fresh fruits like blue berries,or melons. Cookies are really a cold weather treat!

I love homemade cookies - I'm more likely to eat home made cookies than i am boughten ones. I do buy some from the store (usually the decadent chocolate chip or the concerto ones) but most of the time i make my own cookies - i like oatmeal with rasins cookies and chocolate chip cookies and double chocolate chip cookies and pb cookies. MMM now im wanting cookies and ive still got 2 hours of work left!

PS my favs are waffle cookies - you mix em up and cook em in a waffle iron and its sooo fast and easy and a small batch. I make them often when my grandma and granddad come for tea. Fresh cookies while they visit.
