Internet is still down!

My internet is still down! The internet/phone company came out yesterday and checked for a problem outside. Around 3.30pm they called and said the problem was solved! I got home and no iternet or phone! I called the internet/phone company and told them my problem. So tomorrow,in the morning,I have to wait from 8am to maybe 12pm for a person to fix the problem inside! I'm not to excited about it! Until then I'll use the work computers when I can!

that sucks......why did they say it was fixed in the first place?

Becuase they told me it was an outside problem and they did fix the problem!

Hi blue,
We had that happen to us too. What happen was the tv from my mothers bedroom was somehow mixing with the signal for the modem and causing a huge disruption so it shut down our service. The tech came and put some sort of filter on the connection to the tv and it fixed it. Other possible things might be if you have your modem close to anything like a fan, air conditioner, cellular phone microwave oven, anything that puts out some sort of signal, it could be disrupting the modems signal. It's a pain in the hind end but you might try completely shutting down your computer, and disconnect your modem from the power source, wait for 2 minutes then plug it back in and reboot your system. I hope you get it back soon I know how frustrating it can be.
