Hey friends, when was the last time that you felt so joyful about life and so glad to simply be alive? I felt like this yesterday, first a red bird came and landed on my hummingbird bush, then shortly after that I saw the most beautiful yellow, black and white butterfly go flying past. When was the last time you witnessed something that gave you such an exquisite feeling of pure joy, almost like a rush? Talk to me about it please. thanks all and happy mylot!

Every single day for almost two years now I have felt like just living is such a beautiful privilege that so many take for granted. Every time I wake up next to my husband...every time my cats get excited because I'm about to give them wet food...every time my husband and I cook dinner...I get overwhelmed by pure happiness. I am so grateful to have my husband...so grateful to have these beautiful cats that love me...so grateful to be able to buy food and eat with my husband every night. When you realize what you have is beautiful--not what you DON'T have, but what you DO--life is truly amazing. Gorgeous. So many people don't realize this until their last years or don't realize it at all, and go through life wanting more and more material things...not knowing that the people you love, hobbies you enjoy, making the simple things count is most important. Sometimes people I don't even know will ask me why I'm so happy (a common question I get is, "how many pots of coffee did you drink this morning?"), and all I can tell them is what you said: "I'm just so happy to be alive. Life is gorgeous. There's too many good things to be worried about the inconveniences." Of course, then I'm dubbed insane, but it's the truth, and I'm glad you had a taste of it, Citychic. :)

Hey my friend, I'm almost certain that you and I are seeing eye to eye. Even the mere fact that we can have such beautiful friendships with one another is nothing less than a miraculous blessing. So I am fully award of what you mean. Oh yes my dear, I've tasted and I know how good the Lord God can be. Although many people may not want to give God the credit he is the one that makes all things possible in out lives. So enjoy that wonderful hubby of yours and your two wonderful cats. We never know when any of it will be taken away from us so we must enjoy it while we have it. May God bless you dear friend, over and over again. Good nite!

Thanks! Too many people do take the most beautiful things in life for granted, and it's a shame. They never are truly happy because they depend on material things or are never happy with what they have. Like you said, even the very act of friendship is taken for granted, yet friendship is such an amazing part of life. I also believe that God is what makes this all possible. A lot of times I'll look outside and see a beautiful day--whether sunny or when a storm is brewing, because both are gorgeous to me--and I'll think, "Thank you God for such a beautiful day." Of course, I thank Him for things past that point, but I think He needs to be thanked for even the simple things. :)

Last night right at sunset. The sunsets down in Florida are just gorgeous and it's so hard to believe that something natural is so beautiful.

Hey, Well I haven't really felt joyful about my life for quite a long time. This is because my life has mainly been totally boring throughout my entire life. My life has been pretty average so far, hopefully it will get better. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Everyday I get to hear from my love. He's currently in prison (bad boy), and he writes me frequently. He just cheers me up so often that it is hard to stay down. He's so romantic and sweet, even just through his letters. Plus, opposite of many people, I love rainy, windy, stormy days. And recently it has been getting stormy and rainy here as it is monsoon season (Phoenix, AZ), so I've been happy about that. I won't officially love the weather until fall! =) So those two things always brighten my day and make me feel joyful about life.

It's been awhile for me. In fact, I can't even remember the last time I felt joyful about life. I think it was when I was listening to some opera. I just love opera.

I enjoy and feeled blessed with life everyday. But if you mean like those kind of moment where you stop and just want to feel the wind well i had one of those moments on sunday. I went outside with my son. The temperature wasn't too hot but just right. The smell of nature surrounded me. The sounds of the fish pond and the feeling of grass on my feet. It was nice and beautiful.

I try to feel this way all the time, myself, no matter what the situation is. I'm a christian and a christian is supposed to be the happiest person in the world. I get upset and get my feelings hurt sometimes, but I think we all get upset. That's just part of being human. This sounds like a beautiful scene you described! Thank you for sharing it with us. Was the red bird a cardinal, btw? It sounds like it must have been. Kathy.

I am usually a pretty happy person, but this weekend was phenomenal! I live in the Atlanta, Georgia area, and we had a high pressure system move in from Canada towards the end of last week. This made the air dry and cool. The days were in the low 80s and the nights were in the low 60s! We had all the windows open in the house all weekend, never touched the air conditioning, and I had some good walks with the dogs. The sky was blue, the breezes were cool. I just couldn't stay inside! At one point, I grabbed some of my magazines, and headed out to sit on the driveway, read and pet the cat. It was a glorious weekend!! My dogs also make me very happy. Regardless of how I feel at work or how I feel about anything else, when I go home and they are there to greet me, with smiles and tail wags, it makes my day. My pit bull girl has a grin that is a mile wide! And they are always SO happy to see me. They act like they haven't seen me in months! It makes me feel special. At least I know I will always be special in their eyes.

When I am alone at home and no internet, then I go watching wonders of nature in my backyard. It is amazing to see how each creature is given sufficient intelligence to protect itself from the danger and how to get feeds for their little ones and for them. Truely wonderful. There can't be better time pass than this. meapas.

I am continuing to enjoy life right no, it became very more joyful when I have seen and hugged my baby girl. My wife gave birth to our precious angel last June 17, 2009. She was a premature baby and I was very nervous and afraid at the same time, about the things that would might have happen to my baby girl. But thanks God, she have survived and we have survived from that trials, and according to her pediatrician shes now a very healthy girl, and shes continuing of getting more and more healthy.

I guess that would be Sunday listening to music or yesterday enjoying a good dinner. Usually getting out in nature will do it. Or a good joke. A cat purring. One of my kids hugging me.

At this very moment. I have learned to always focus on the positives in life. Count my blessings everyday. You know the 'little' ones. Like sight and taste and the ability to chill out and a roof over my head and a job to go to and friends and.. I really could go on and on. You count the 'little' blessings and it energizes you

I try to feel happy about life every day I'm alive. It's a shame to let life slip by without enjoying it to its fullest. Besides, I've lost way too many people in my life to not know how brief it is and how easily it can slip away, so I try to appreciate it every day without fail. ^_^

probably the last time was when I was in church unday. Everytime I go there I feel this rush of confidence and wonder about what God does for us everyday. And I also tend to feel this way when I buy my favorite fast food LOLOLOL.
