If you're doing it for health reasons then why not try being a flexitarian instead. There are some benefits to meat that are difficult to get in a vegetarian diet unless you know exactly what you're doing. For that matter if you just want to eat healthy then do eat mainly vegetables, eat a variety and eat a lot of the dark greens. I'd recommend looking up the ones that are best for you. Realize that dairy products while vegetarian, contain a good amount of cholesterol and fat. Use vitamins and if you're a women calcium supplements. Read your food labels, if you don't know what to watch out for then look it up. Try to eat as much non-processed foods as you can and stay away from anything fried. There are a lot of ways to eat healthy without saying you're going to be a 'vegetarian' or a 'vegan' and there are up sides and down sides to everything. Good luck!

I forgot to answer your question. Opps. Yes skinny people can be vegetarians. I think the reason for that misconception is because vegetables are low calorie foods and most people through fast food, breads, dairy, and processed food consume high have a high calorie diet. Meaning you can actually eat more for less calories when it comes to vegetable.

I'm a vegetarian by birth, any i'm not very thin... So don't worry that being a vegetarian may lead to your weight loss, or vice versa... But you can still continue eating eggs and all the other dairy products too, to have a well balanced diet, and have a healthy living...

you can be a vegetarian.it doesn't really matter if you are skinny.eating more vegetables is good for your health.if you don't want to fully give up on meat, use animal byproducts. food like eggs, milk, and cheese can provide you the nutrients you need, without hurting the animals.

I am thin, and I am a vegetarian (well, mostly) It's not about the weight it's about feeling good. You might not even lose any weight. Your body is funny and when you eat properly, it's possible it will regulate itself and you will be the weight you should be.. it's possible!

Of course, skinny person can be vegetarian, the only thing they need to eat more is butter, cheese, milk and sweets like chocolate, ice cream. This will give them the fat percentage required in their body, soon they will transform from skinny to slim and trim!! And ya exercise is must or else fat will get deposited in wrong places So, have vegetarian food and also get your protein supply from soyabean, lentils and milk!
