Gnats... Help!! Please?

I just moved and it's a new subdivision. There are some open fields with weeds and some standing water that builders are waiting to start building houses on. There are also many new homes with new sod, grass seeds, hay, etc...
I am not sure if that's why or if it's just the area/temperature or whatever reason, but there are TONS of gnats (what some people call "no-see-ums") near out house, and it's such a nuisance. They are so small it seems like sometimes they creep inside even the screens.
Even as I type this one is fluttering onto my computer monitor!
Is there anything we can do (aside from using a ton of insect spray and whatnot) to alleviate this problem a bit? Any tips or tricks can help. Thanks in advance!

I've been in swarms of those things, we just had to deal with them. I never killed any spiders because they will build webs to catch them. I guess you'll just have to wait them out.
