RMVB is a RealMedia Variable Bitrate file. This is one of the newer formats from Real for publishing video files, which is quickly becoming a popular format for Anime and Asian movie titles because of smaller file sizes and lower bitrates with exceptional quality compared to DivX, which has long been the standard for trading videos online. There are two options for playing back the file. 1. You download and install real one player http://www.real.com/ (trial version you can download) http://rs306tl.rapidshare.com/files/111666140/5396200/Real_Player_11.0.9.372_gold_activator_Real_Player.rar (pirated ) 2. Install Real Alternative. (Which is freely available) http://ftp.freenet.de/pub/filepilot/windows/multimedia/video/realalternative/realalt190.exe or http://www.rmvbcodec.com/realalt190lite.exe Using real alternative you can play .rmvb file in your windows media player only. you can also try klite codec from http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=5289&s=775 Hope all these links are useful. If you solve your problem please mark response as best so others can use this links.. Good Luck..

If you're using MAC, just use RealPlayer for MAC. If you are trying to play .rmvb file with .srt file together, try downloading the real media codec for the VLC player. - the .srt file contains sub title information for the media. - the .srt file should be present in the same folder as is your media file. - this .srt file will work only along with your vlc media player. once you have successfully played the .rmvb file u should enable subtitles in the subtitles menu.

Well, there is a player designed just for that format, you can download it here: http://rapidshare.com/files/173624004/realalt190.exe or, if you want you can convert the file format into any other you want with this software: http://rapidshare.com/files/254803090/WinAVI_VideoConverter_by_rennee.rar I hope that helps.

Realplayer is the most well known player for this format. Besides realplayer, there are other players too. As for me, I always use QVOD which is capable to download and play at the same time where I can watch internet movies while downloading it, like live streaming
