I read his book Da Vinci Code. My motivation to read his book is because of the controversy relating to faith. So, I decided to read, I read it only in a day. The way he explores the story is very unique. He can combine the complexities of history with suspense and ends with a big question in each chapter. The sad thing is when I watch the movie version...hmm, I feel disappointed because all of my imagination becomes flat end in the box of movie. Some says that movie blocks our imagination. So, how do you think? Which one do you prefer movie or book version?

Hmm I love the book more than the movie. For the same reason as you said. And also because the book is more detailed than the movie. And sometimes, they wouldn't show some parts in the book because it would get too long or dragging. That is why when there's a movie based on a book, I make sure I read the book first so I'll understand better. And so that my imagination wouldn't be hindered by the movie. Well, that is, if I haven't read the book yet.

Yes, I totally agree. The movie always pales in comparison with the book. It is always interesting to see what movie script writers and all their movie maker counterparts do with the story, but without question, the book is generally better than the movie.

I love lost symbol because I believe it as Dan Brown's history, his suspense and mistery makes it interesting.

Im sorry for a mistake that i input. This is the correct one.... I havent watched the movie, but after you commented the movie.I now prefer the book because as i am reading on it, my imagination doesnt stop imagining. And i think, the reason that they dont do it exactly as to what the book contains is because it will be costly.Or maybe they were lack of fund for the movie.Whatever the reason is, i liked how DAN BROWN wrote it.Because of some things which is tackled on the book is something factual or just a fiction...
