Have you ever ridden in a gondola?

Gondolas are one of the most romantic ways of travelling. I rode one many years ago, and still remember the romantic experience today, over forty years on. Have you ridden in a gondola? What was your experience like?

That sounds so fun and romantic. I would love to ride in a gondola. And since I want to go to Italy for my honeymoon it might be a possibility. Of course, I will have to find a man to marry me first.

Would you prefer flowers or chocolates gtargirl. Just in case I see a handsome prince on a white charger.

Hi gtargirl, I'd marry you just for another condola ride, but my wife might object, and I'm probably far too old. Good luck, and I hope your Mr. Right is willing to take you to Italy for your honymoon. Thank you for contributing.

I have not ridden on the gondola before. Never had the chance. I would love to do that one day.

Hi sydney, if ever you get to Venice, you should mark down taking a ride in a gondola as a priorioty. Thanks for your response.

When I was in Venice last I could not afford a Gondola ride, I can’t remember how much it cost at the time but I do recall it was quite expensive! I regret not having spent the money now because I am certain it would be a unique experience especially with that special someone! I would love to have the guy singing on it as well! Now that would be lovely...

Hello paula, yes it is something special, and an experience you never forget. I recall our gondolier was ayoung man with a powerful tenor voice. I recall a bunch of flowers was given to the lady, but I cannot remember the circumstances. I probably had to pay for them. As I said that was a long time ago, and it's probably changed a lot now. Thanks for your response.

Hi tigeraunt, I'm not sure if gondolas are as popular as they were, as with the the world becoming more in a hurry, speed boats are probably more required. However if you get to Venice, it's defifitely worth riding in one. Espacially with someone special.
