Kids Say the Darndest Things!

Okay, some of you will probably think this is kind of sad, but I subscribe to Parents magazine, and I'm not even a parent yet! 
My favorite part of that whole magazine is the last page where they publish short clips from readers about funny things their kid has said.
So, I thought it would be really fun to read the funny stories you MyLotters may have of times where your kids said something really funny.
I actually have one to start off with. This is my best friend's daughter, who was 4 at the time.
They were riding in the car and Mia (the daughter) was holding her head in her hands. Her mom asked, "Baby, what's wrong?" Mia replied, "My head hurts." Her mom asked, "Why does it hurt?" And Mia replied with a sigh, "I have too much brain."
I LOVE that child!

I don't have a kid, but I do have a funny thing involving a kid to tell you about.
I used to work in a place where I helped taking care after 19 6-8 years old kids, and one day one of the kids approached me and told me that some kid locked himself inside a suitcase in the yard. Of cours I did not believe it, who would?? 5 minutes later, when the second kid came and told me the same thing, I was like... WTF? and ran outside... believe it or not- but the kid really did locked himself inside a suit case! it was a numeric lock and the kid that helped him get locked inside did not know the code.
I and the adult that worked with me wanted to get the kid out from it, but the kid refused to get out saying- "no! don't break the the suitcase!!!". In the end we managed to get him out safely, and the suitcase remained whole...

Maybe I should re-title this, "Kids Do the Stupidest Things!" If that were me or my brother locked in that suitcase, I can just hear my mom now saying, "How could you be so stupid!!" Ha! The dumb things kids do. It is all part of being a kid.2 people like this

Oh, that is so funny. She has too much brain. My friend announced to her two children that she was pregnant and so they would soon be getting a little brother or sister. Her daughter Mollie asked "Can we have a black baby"? She had to say "sorry, your daddy and I are both white so no". She replied "oh, what has that got to do with it"? So I thought that rather a funny thing to say. She thinks rightly so that black babies look really lovely and very sweet.

How cute! I actually heard another one from my boss on Friday. A cousin's son was going to be the ring bearer in a wedding (he's 3). So they go to the store to pick out his clothes that he was going to wear. They show it to him and tell him that is what he is wearing to the wedding.
The boy replies, "I'm not wearing that." His mother replies, "Yes, you are honey. You have to wear this to be in the wedding." Then the boy asks, "Where's my bear costume?" Confused, the mother asks, "Why would you wear a bear costume?" The boy replies, "You told me I was going to be a ring bear, so I need a bear costume!"
Isn't that the cutest? I would have let him go as a bear. It would have been delightfully funny.

My granddaughter stays with me alot. She also likes to sleep with me. She is still in the process of getting potty trained and wears a pull up at night....well she was ready for bed and I was getting ready....she says to me...say grandma...you might want to take off your panties and find yourself a really big pull up! I was laughing so hard I could hardly stand it! LOL.....they do say the cutest things..

Hey cobra1368! I don't have any children and right now, I can't think of any cute sayings my nieces and nephews said when they were small. I guess they will come eventually, though. I just wanted to say I think this is so cute, though, lol! Happy mylotting. Kathy.

I'm from the Philippines and if you know a little about Philippine history, you would see that Spaniards colonized our country a long time ago. They colonized the country for more than 300 years.
My brother recently learned that in their history class. So when Spain won in the latest FIFA World Cup, he remarked that Spain should not win because they are bad and according to his teacher they abused our country for 300 years.
