Sanction on Honduras for rejecting unconstitutional threat?

Why would the US or any other nation want to impose sanction on another nation for rejecting their president they fear is about to violate their constitution? Findings show that the Honduras president Zelaya (while still legit for the remainder of his one 4 year term only by Honduras constitution) was about to draft a new constitution the Honduras Supreme court ruled was unconstitutional. Zelaya dismissed the court ruling and fired the chief of armed forces who had also refused to help him draft his proposition. Whether or not his intended amendment was to include additional terms for presidency, we know not. Interestingly, Zelaya is rumored to have requested months ago that the US legalize drugs, seeing his nation was being used as trafficking point. Is Honduras a sovereign nation? These "third world" nations, as you can see, are capable of handling their various domestic affairs, if not interrupted by foreign governments! Please, is about time that we learn to let other nations tend to their own domestic affairs!

Well, thats because we have a government that doesn't give a flying phouque about our own constitution. Why on earth would someone else's matter? This is how you can expect to be treated for pointing out and fighting constitutional violations here. You will be treated with suspician, as an insurectionist....a "terrorist". SO It's nothing for them to do this to another country. What I want to know is, where are all the non interventionalists now? I'm here, where are the rest of you?

They're still too busy bashing Bush for such behavior. I guess it's ok when "their" president does it.

Ha, talk about treated with suspicion! Do you know that I was (and still under surveillance) for simply having an opinion about the 2003 invasion of Iraq and other domestic issues? Some tell me I am a treat and the courts even took away my license to business because I challenged their unconstitutional practices, all in an effort to disable me financially. And while in courts in 2005 (fighting them in their attempt to harass and suppress me), the State of Texas even attempted to stigmatize me by locking me in a psychiatric center for 10 days for merely expressing opinion they did not like, after they figured mere jail was not taking the resistance out of me! Xfahctor, we are in a dilemma! We are in a society where up is down and down is up! And you better not have an opinion, regardless of race!

There is no, let me repeat, NO reason whatsoever to impose ANY sanctions on Honduras or any other nation for rejecting a tyrannical leader who didn't follow the country's own constitution. Honduras is not a threat to us, our allies, or their own neighbors. This is a 100% internal matter, involves no human rights violations that I know of, and should not involve ANYONE except the people of Honduras. Obama needs to butt the f$%k out and let them run their own country as he has yet to even prove he can run his own country. I personally don't know anyone who wants us to butt into Honduras's business. Every time Obama starts up with crap like this I think he's just doing it to distract people while he pushes his socialist agenda. The American people are the biggest enemy of his agenda.

Taskr36, I think you are right about the diversion tactic. Historically, it is the custome of the US government to use diversions while in the process of passing any measure the people would not otherwise support: In 2002, 2003, while the government was rallying support for an unjustified war with Iraq, they passed the Patriot Act II and MEHPA with the knowledge of the people. And as all can now see, the people are hopelessly attempting to defeat the nationalized health care which got its foundation and greenlight from MEHPA!
