Say you wish for a job, are you open enough to take any job, or do you only wish for one that will fit your requirements? It seems to me that people who wish for things and then open their eyes to see any form of what they wished for are the most successful. All my childhood I wished for a stable family that would love me. Well by 20 I had 3 children and a good husband. Then I learned that when you get what you wish for it is not always so simple, we were very poor, Hubby did have a stable job but the pay was very low. I had not even finished high school so was not employable.
Besides with 3 babies I could not afford child care so that I could go to work. I figured it out and started night school, then trade school so that I could work, I pinched every penny and we got by, now many years later I look back and wonder if I would have wished for something different if I had known how hard it would be to take care of what I got. I know have grandchildren and great grand children, the family is doing well and we live in comfort it not luxury. I am happy I got what I wished for. What are your wishes?

Hi savypat, It is good when someone can say that they got what they wished for and they are happy. I have always tried to be open as well and am fairly happy with my life. I'm not sure that anyone can say that they had it more difficult than another, just that it was different. Looking back over life when you are in your twilight years can often help you see a pattern that you had not noticed when it was happening. Blessings.

You are really blessed for getting what you have wished for. . . I have wished for many things and I am so glad that many were given to me. Now, I am thanking more than asking for the blessings received. I may not be rich now, but at least I am not begging or very poor. I am very happy and contented for what God has given me. Nice discussion.

Hey pat~I had the same wishes that you did, but didn't ever
get mine fulfilled! I never married, but came close twice. I
never had any children at all. I think that it probably was
the right choices for me considering the way my life turned
out. I do feel a bit badly that I don't have children or
grandchildren, but I do believe that it just wasn't meant to
be for me with the problems that I had. So, if I could have
done things differently knowing what I do now I certainly
would have, but the way things worked out I know it was for
the best even though at times I am sad~

I believe that in order for me to get my wishes I should work hard for it to come true I know it would be hard at first but with determination to get what I want then all hardships will be worthwhile. I only wish for one thing and thats to spend the rest of my life with the women I love and who loves me too...great topic.
