My friend's baby isn't eating very well yet. She's three days old. She drinks a little but is still having problems eating because she isn't breathing too well while she eats. I remember that little sound, if you didn't breastt feed and you bottle fed it almost sounded like the baby was breasttfeeding because the baby's nose was kind of stuffed. My daughter only made that noise once or twice. Do you remember your baby having eating problems?

Well, my baby was having trouble taking her formula too at first so the docs had to put a feeding tube down into her stomach so she can eat. Now she's 6 months old and she's got no problems eating. I'm just so glad. You should just be patient and keep feeding she'll eventually learn. Otherwise see what the doc says. Good luck with motherhood and hope for the best. Aloha

Oh,wow. Glad she is well now. I don't think this is anything serious. It's just the noise from still having mucus in the nose and she can't breathe that well. The baby is fine. It's a normal baby thing.

Awww, the poor little thing. Is there nothing that can be done for her breathing problems? When I can't breathe I don't have much appetite!

That's what happened to her. I think it just naturally goes away in less than a week. If it's really bad she may have to suction the baby's nose. I hope not because I was always so scared to do that.

Why? Did you think you were going to suck out a vital organ with that little bitty bulb for the baby's nose? LOL

well my child would not keep the formula down they had to change the formula three times to find one that actually agreed with her. Other wise she just keep bringing it back up. my second child was the same way they had tried two different kids until she was able to eat. Also my second child was different she had to have cereal and a little bit of sugar in it. I had tro finally weene her off the sugar issue though. You might want to see or talk to the pedetrian about this problem.
