changed with the recesion? In what ways? Mine have not changed my because my own recesion started when my hubby died 9 years ago. It was then that I had to do some brain storming because I wanted to continue living well but didn´t have the same amount of money. It can be done and frugality doesn´t mean you can´t have some luxuries. But my shoping habits DID change. How about you? Share

I tend to cut my money spend on clothes and other entertainment like drinking outside, I even got a part time job to get some money to pay the bills. to some extent, there are not that big changes on my normal life like daily eating and other things that was on my routine schedule.

My shopping habits have changed quite a lot. I used to visit Sainsbury a lot because it is the nearest supermarket to my home. However they stopped doing much in the free from range that I liked. They also put their prices up considerably up. So then I began shopping in Morrison more and more. I found some lovely product ranges. Sadly the Co Op closed in my local high street. I go up to Portishead every two to three weeks my dear friend to visit there large store there.

Our shopping habits have changed some since my husband lost his job last year. We're not going out to eat that often, and watching our incoming and outgoing money. Sometimes you have to do some creative financing to pay your bills. It's sad to say this, but it has to be done.

I think that your words "creative financing" mean that you are doing as well as possible. Don´t be sad, when all this is over you will have an experience that will make you more aware of your bounty. I know it from experience.

I'm not buying anything unless I really need it. I tend to wear things alot longer. It is very important to do that as far as I am concerned. I like to wear things until they wear out. It is very important to conserve in this economy.

Hi marguicha, I've been living frugally for quite a while now as I have a child to support so do worry about money as the general lack of money all around has effected my own income. I don't replace broken things any more as need to prioritise bills and unexpected expenses such as car repairs. I hardly spend anything on myself and feel a bit guilty when I do but will get the odd thing on the encouragement of my child who tells me I deserve it. Yesterday I did buy two things for myself and have managed not to feel guilty yet.

Not really. I am relatively frugal to begin with, but I still spend money on things I like, mainly on my sports hobbies. I don't spend a lot in general, but I have continued to spend the same amount, proportionately, to before or after the "recession."
