As an "old" dos user, I am more familiar and comfortable with keyboard strokes than mouse operation. However, I so automatically use the keys needed as and when, that I dont think, if I sat and thought about it for a year, that I could list very many.
Anyway, not necessary, our friend up there has already done the deed and very well he has done so too.
If there were an award for the longest response he would get that too.

i never had that "dos" you mentioned. i had been introduced to computer stuff when i was in college way back 1999. i never heard about that dos. i wish i had since most of the time the keyboard shortcuts were used. i only have known few and thanks to our fellow here for giving us everything about shortcuts. i really rated him as the best response based on the comments of those who responded here. thanks for your post too.

Now that you mention it, I think I know only ctrl X, ctrl C and Ctrl V and yes, Ctrl S of course…OMG I have become too dependent on the mouse but one cant deny its convenience. Do you know of any place from where I can get a complete list of keyboard functions and shortcuts? I think I should keep one handy.

If you are using IE, then F11 will switch between normal browser with toolbars at the top and fullscreen, and back again.
This drove me nuts when I pressed F11 by error and everything except the internet page I was looking at vanished.
Ahhh, what happened, press, press, press, argh.

Hmmm, I only know some common ones.
Ctrl and x for cutting
Ctrl and Tab (with or without Shift) to cycle through tabs, like your using IE Explorer or Mozilla Firefox to browse the net.
Alt and Spacebar to choose if you want to close (also Alt F4), minimize or maximize the current window.
I wish I knew more that I would only get to use the mouse a few times and my hands woudl often be at the keyboard. (-_- )

I'm sure that most of the shortcuts I could mention are already mentioned. Although, I do know that Ctrl+Alt+Delete will help you shut down your computer, or close a non-responsive program. This probably won't help you out to much, but here you go. lol
