I always have a dream that one day I could quit my job, say goodbye to the mean boss and that big mouth woman, take a backpack with some daily usings with me, dress in my own way, put on a big smile, take a deep breath, with the happiest mood, together with my beloved man, go for a life wandering around the world!
But it never happen, first, I have no money, I have to face my mean boss and that big mouth woman everyday except weekends, then, I have no man....GOD,I have to struggle with life!
There is an author in our county, he was a teacher. Last year, to show his support to the 2008 Olympics, he pursuaded several company to sponsor his plan of travelling 1 month from Jilin Province, Northeast China to Shandong Province, which is nearly 2,000 kilometers. Then he started from our county and travelled by his old motor. He travelled and photographed all way long, 1 month later, he came back with a thinner and blacker face, he nearly bursted into tears, you can see he is acturally a mediocre man who lives in a small county....Then he wrote a book and named it How Long Distance Place is and published. It was well sold throughout this county and he also sold some online.
I admire him and I wish I could go and lead a wandering life, we could go and live somewhere, we don't need much money, all we need to have is passion and our wise brain, we could use our knowledge and hands to get food and money or place to live, I love that kind of life.
What about you? What's your ideal life? Can you share it with me? Let's talk about our dreams a little bit. I'm always here listening to your story.

My dream when I was a teenager was to travel around Europe. However I wondered how I was going to afford that. I got a job as a children's nanny in Finland. The wages were excellent to I managed to save up the necessary money. I met an Australian lady and became friends with her. In my early twenties I was made redundant from my job in a ship brokers. There was a recession and getting another job wasn't easy. So I let out my cottage, got a working holiday visa for Australia and bought an airline ticket around the world. By doing some work in Australia I managed to make my budget last just over one year. So my ideal life lasted for the duration of my travels. I still travel overseas and this year I took my toddler to Cape Town. My dreams come true when I go off traveling to tropical islands and fascinating cities.

Hi maximax8, I was so excited reading your response, thank you for your contribution, I really like it. I enjoy reading your experience of travelling around somewhere on this planet, or should I say you have guts doing that! But what I was wandering is that how could your parents approve your plan when you acturally have little money or maybe no money. It seems that your home town is not in Finland right? You really enjoyed yourself by travelling to Australia right? To me, meeting different people and talking to them are really great, because I can learn different things from different people's outlooks. I'm really happy to know that your dream came true finally, congratulations! Thank you again for your contribution!

When I was 16 years old I got a Saturday job is a shop. I saved up money from it to go traveling. I saved enough to buy a one way flight from England to Finland and an inter rail pass. At age 19 I bought my little cottage from money left to me in my great aunts will. I let that out to pay for my trip around the world. My parents were worried about me but I came back home safely. Thanks for the best response.

Hi, maximax, that's amazing, you know? I really like your response, you are really a brave girl and you did something when you were a teenager, you see, that's the difference between Chinese culture and Western culture, you are self-dependent, but if you were born in China, I bet there's a slim chance for your parents allowing you go abroad unless they accompany you. But you did, I wish I could go abroad one day, but maybe I lack courage(that's shameful because I'm already 27...)I really enjoy talking to you, thanks again maxi, I love your story. :)
