What's the difference between beer,vodka,wine and champagne..

Hey myLotters,I am a non-alcoholic guy.I don't have the idea about various types of drinks,but I would really like to..
And why is the cost of champagne is so much higher than the other types of drinks?

All I know is that champagne is made of certain kind of grapes that only grew in certain part of Italy. The making process is very hard and takes a long time that is why champagne is so expensive.
If the champagne is not made from that certain type of grapes that only grow in certain part of Italy then it will be very cheap but it is not real champagne.
