I am having a problem with my new Dell inspiron laptop, which I purchased about two months back. I would feel grateful if anyone could help me out in this regard. The problem is that when I am typing something, mouse clicks by itself on the location where the mouse pointer is without my intervention. Got my point. It is really menacing when I have to continuously type. I do not know how to get rid of this problem.

you mention that you have a problem when you are start typing, i think you mistakenly hit the touch-pad when you are typing.I'm also having that problem but soon i came to realize that i mistakenly touch the touch-pad,if it is a problem you disable the touch-pad and buy a separate usb mouse....

Ok my dear friends, I finally solved the problem. The problem was actually associated with touchpad driver. I installed touchpad driver from the driver cd provided by dell on purchase. If you have not installed this on your laptop, you can see 'PS/2 compatible mouse' on device manager. Once you have installed, it will change to Dell touchpad. After installing it, I checked my mouse it is now working perfectly without any hassles.

Like the first floor, I also adivse you ask the Dell for help, they are expert. Also they know more than anyone else about their products, have a try. It's free as you bought it only two month.
