with good thoughts and happy responses. i just used that line in a response and this kinda popped into my head. me and one of the other people that left here last weekend have welcomed each other back, publically, in one of his discussions:)
now for my mini-rant...i've noticed that two people's stars have dropped in the past couple days and it made me pretty mad because neither of them deserves to be rated where they are right now. i can't name names or this will be a violation of the guidelines although it will probably end up being reported anyway just because that seems to be the new rage these days. but i want their stars back where they deserve to be, you know like 9 or 10.
i leave for TN in 28 days and really want this to be a happy, peaceful 28 days because i want to be able share my visit with ALL of my friends here.
and to make this a valid discussion...what will you be doing in 28 days?

Many were against that star system from when it first got implemented.
I also have a hunch it got implemented solely so that they would not have to pay out so much, & I think it is one of the Mylot staff members lowering people's star ratings.

I just wish you all smiles in 28 days...and I admire you much for caring with your two friends stars. With all my coolness and positive responses except for one which quite offended me, I'm not minding my star as, if I remember it right it only goes down once from 10 to 9, though only now I noticed it's quite sometime it's steady at 9, hehe. meaning am not improving? Thanks for your post I learn to care for my star now.

and now this morning i have no star at all so the stupid assshats are just negging everywhere. i hope they realize their stars will drop too. hell i can prove i'm not rating anyone anywhere except for the people that have responded to this discussions and there's one person who responded that did not get rated.

I'm still pretty pissed at what some did to you, but if you say "let it go" I will.
I never liked the stupid stars and don't really know anyone who does. It's just a way for people to abuse eachother anonymously, which creates all kids of suspicion among friends who then become former friends.
In 28 days I'll be 28 days older and so will everyone else, I'll still likely be just he same as will mot of the people I know. Hopefully mylot will be a bit happier as folks get bored with the same old song & dance and move on (the trolls and mylot wars are cyclical, ask anyone who's been here for a few years).
I look forward to reading about your glorious meeting and hopefully seeing you happy here at mylot.
