I do from time to time. Usually it has to be a good song and I'm alone w/o the kids. But I do usually turn it down when I get to an intersection, nothing more annoying than someone w/ their music blasting and you can hear it w/ your windows rolled up. *LOL*

There are some songs that just need to be loud! But usually I have it at a normal level. If I'm playing Pink Floyd or hear a really good song on the radio, the volume goes up! But my trips are usually so short that I listen to talk radio, kind of a cerebral experience rather than musical.

Yes, I like to turn up the volume of the music when I'm driving alone. But I don't mess with the bass. It drives me nuts when I'm at a stop light, and the car next to me has the bass up so loud that even my car is vibrating. And then everyone else beside that person turns and gives the guy (it always seems to be a guy) a glare, to which he is oblivious.

I do this when I am driving alone. Loud music is good to ease boredom and keep me awake and focus. I tend to get bored easily so I need something like that. But if I have passengers with me, I will turn the volume down. I love loud music but I don't intend to force others to listen it at the same volume just because they ride with me. Besides, it's hard to converse through the loud music.

yes yes yes i agree. its nothing more annoying than that i have very loud neighbors so i'm used to hearing loud music in the middle of night or morning! its very inconsiderate. its just too loud. and when i'm in my sister car wow just horrible she likes to annoy me on purpose doing this. trying to bust me ear drum or something then my auntie does the same thing she likes to feel her car vibrate. and thats all the people i know who play their music loud thank goodness.

I love loud music in my car, as long as I am alone...but I roll up the windows and turn it down at an intersection, because I get sooooo irratated with people when they blast their music and I can hear it. I hate it when they drive/park near where I live and my floor vibrates with it. I think it is inconsiderate and rude! So I always try to be considerate to others. This is a good post, maybe people will realize how rude it can be.
