about pen friends

hi mylot friends, in my college days,i have lot of penfriends,regularly iam getting more than 6 mails,(no emails and net on that days)by post,still i have some letters not open till now,but all those from other countries their language is not English, i do not know their language so i have not opened and replies them,but all those friend are gone,now i have started with mylot thanks mylot and mylot friends

Yugasini you should ask at a local university to see if anyone can translate the letters for you. Perhaps you could then renew the correspondences.

hi canellita, thanks for the response,but all that letters belong to 1986-87,i think now it is not necessary to contact them,now the postal charges also increased,it is costly now a day to do penfriendship...have a nice day

hello yugasini, it was the fad before. since the computer wasnt popular yet, the most wonderful thing was receiving written mails on the post from different places. i had my share of pen friends too. what a simple life we had before.. and simple way of contentment. happy mylotting. ann

hi ann, you are right,those days are gone,we are waiting for mail everyday,i am using to go to post office itself to collect all my mail,how fun it is....have a nice day

i don't have pen friends but i want to have some.i think it is interesting that communicate with people who u have never seen each other.we can communicate with them in our mother tongue or other languages. by the way we can improve our foreign language if we have foreign friends.mylot is a good place for us to communicate and improve our English.

I want to start doing that again. It feels a wee bit more personal when you receive actual mail from someone doesn't it? Although admittedly the net is a whole lot faster.
