Have you ever read a book and there was something in there that just hit you like... I want to try that out for mysel?? I have to say that a couple years ago I started reading again... I was a huge reader when I was a teenager and a few yrs back we bought a fixer upper house. While I was unpacking I found a box of books that my mom had bought me over the years and I kept adding them to this box for the "one day I will read these" and in between projects when we were working on the house and I had downtime --being a full time mom-- I started to pick up those books and read. I started with the historical romance books and it got me doing research on historical facts and places, it was amazing to me....of course I hated history class in school although I have to say this was put much differently when you read a story that takes place in a certain time and place. because of those historical books it really got me wanting to take up horseback riding...which I havent yet, but then I now have another baby (well 1 yrs old) and with money and things I havent got around to it. so I was wondering have you read anything that you had to try??

As far as I can remember, I never have read anything that I wanted to try. I just wanted to say something about the history classes, though. I never did like history too much, either. I don't always blame the teacher for my problems but I do feel like most of the history teachers I had were kind of dry and boring, if you know what I mean. I had this one history teacher in summer school who knew how to make it interesting and I did really well under her. Also, I had a history teacher in college who kept us laughing a lot. This made it more enjoyable. Kathy.

I forgot to say that I hope you do get a chance to learn how to ride a horse someday and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do. I find it very relaxing. Kathy.

I am still looking into it, because now I can add it to a family outing or things to do with the family... a day out horseback riding.. I would LOVE that!!!! oh yeah, I still remember my history teacher and he was CAPITAL BORING!!!!! it was horrible!!! I wish I would have paid more attention now back then...but it was so hard to when they just talked and talked about things and didnt make it interesting. thanks for the response and have a great night!
