I like dogs better, not just the fact that i have a dog, but the fact that dogs arent snobs, take a look at cats, go off as they please and only come back when they need food or sleep, i mean what the hell? YOUR A FAMILY pet not supposed to be using us Humans. Anyways so dogs rule ftw :D.

allergic to both but my girlfriend has a dog. 2 dogs until a couple of months ago and i love them both. i really dont like cats, i dont see the point in them as you dont take them for walks and theyre not the most friendly of creatures to be honest, all they do is sleep.

We have a cat. They're very easy to take care of. There's not much you need to do for them: love them, feed them, water them, ignore them. lol Our cat is very mellow and loveable furball. I think we'll keep her. lol

I'm a dog lover ,so I prefer to own a dog instead of a cat. They dog is much funner to me.The dog loves attention and cats want to be left on their own.I want a pet that I can interact with, cats are pretty moody and scratch when they don't want to be bothered.

I definitely prefer dogs. I guess it's the unconditional love thing that gets me. Dogs are more personable and friendly in my opinion. Every cat I have ever been around has been persnickety and you have to work your butt off to get them to like you. I guess I just don't have the patience to build a cat relationship :)

I like both, but I really love cats...we have always had a cat since I was little & I've never had a dog ever! For us the cat is easier cuz all I have to do is make sure he has enough food & water & a clean litter pan & we can come & go as we please. If we go on vacation I have a friend check in on him every other day to make sure he is alright. If we had a dog I'd have to constantly take him for walks(which I do love to take walks), always work around his schedule, have to put him ina kennel when we went away on vacations...more work then I have time for.

ive had both, and even though theres more you can do with a dog- more ways to play and stuff.. cats will always be my first pet choice. They're cleaner and so graceful. I have been surrounded by cats since i was very young, so this might contribute to WHY i love them so much. I dont know. I just prefer them =]

I'd have to say that my favorite would be a cat. They are more independent creatures. If I have to work late, I'm not worrying about a cat peeing on my carpet. I do agree that cats are more standoffish than dogs. But I have known several very friendly cats so I won't say that all cats are like that. It really depends on the animal.

Most of my life I owned cats. But now I own dogs & love it. They are so loyal and great companions. I have had dogs for the last 10years now and I find that I prefer dogs more then cats.
