How do you cope with addiction?

I'm not talking about drug abuse or something remotely fatal. I am talking about something day-to-day which wouldn't really hurt someone or cause someone to die. One thing that I'm particularly addicted these days is an online game called Bejeweled Blitz through Facebook. I'm not happy that I constantly think about it and when I do have time to play with it, I end up losing much productive time because I end up challenged and all-focused on it till I notice it's been hours that I've started playing with it. To cope, I usually just give myself at least 3 games then do something productive, and then go back to playing for 3 games then doing something productive again. It's not much but at least I can find time to work instead of just sitting at it all day. But I'm still looking for ways to take me off of this addiction. What are you addicted of these days, and how do you cope?

I had a mini addiction yesterday & today. I say mini cuz im not anymoer i guess.. lol anyways, my mini addiction was.... the new Orchard Chicken Salad Sandwich from subway. ohhh mann.. it was goood. I kept thinking about it yesterday after i ate some. Even as i was falling asleep i could practically taste it on my tongue! lol It was weird. A little 24hr addiction, but im ok. What i ended up doing was just eating another 6" today & i guess it ended up getting me off of it. lol.

I try to stay away far from it as possible. I mean, it would be hard since you're addicted but the more you do it then the easier it would become. Maybe find a different and more productive hobby for yourself? ;-)

I've set up a momentum though, I just give my craving a few tries, and eventually it goes away. I doubt keeping myself away would just double the craving. hahahaha

Hi, laydee! I know just what you mean. I've had to limit myself, so that it won't get out of control. but it's really hard to do At one point, I unplugged the computer, because I was using time I really needed for other things. Good luck with getting past the hurdle.
