Are you, or have you ever been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints? Are you a member of one of the other churches that accept the Book of Mormon as the word of God?
Where you "born in the covenant" or did you come over from another church or belief system?
If you are no longer a member, what was it that lead you to a different path?
I've been a member my whole life. I look forward to the forever I intend to be LDS.
Time to answer "here".

"other churches that accept the Book of Mormon as the word of God?" Are you serious?

My dad and a good friend of mine are both Mormon. My dad wasn't the kind to attend church regularly, so I never had it forced on to me, but I did go several times with my friend. I have a deep respect for most Mormons, because her church was the first church I ever felt comfortable in. I have been known to defend Mormonism to those who call them wackos.
My aunt (dad's sister) on the other hand is proof of where Mormon beliefs can go wrong. She is very judgemental, and a look into it showed me that this is a common thing that happens. She, like others, believes that because of her faith, she is better than everyone else. She has made both her brother and one of her sisters feel like garbage over nothing just because she thinks she's better than them. Oh, she of course doesn't see it like that, but her "reasons" for disowning one and making the other cry are garbage to non-existant.
I'm sure some of that might be variations in churches, but the funny thing is that my friend goes to the same one my aunt does... Well whatever, I still think most Mormons are great people. I told the other story just as a warning to those who might also become that way.
