Skin Color?

I have wondered that too. How can our ancestors have done such a thing. My grandma still feels uncomfortable around black people and it offends me because I am white and dont feel they are any different. I have had friends in high school who were black. I remember one time I brought a black friend over and my grandma said something mean that offended her. I was too embarrassed to ever invite my friends over again.

This is sad because people tend to be selfish and racist .

I do not know the exact reason why whites dominated blacks, but I think probably the thought that the whites had is they are superior than blacks in all means. They did not know that it is irrational. Adding to this, more whites were wealthy, and they could have been high in population.

probably because black people were relatively new to white people. they probably feared them so decided to enslave them in order to show their dominance as they felt threatened. then it probably just became a tradition and everybody did it, so nobody thought any different. by the way i am in no way defending what they did but we are probably guilty of some pretty bad things these days.
