I like the movie The Devil Wears Prada, and I understand that the constant phone calls from her boss would have been straining on relationships. But I think her friends were really hard on her. Lots of people have jobs that keep they away a lot, and she knew this was temporary- only for a year. So scenes like the one where they take her phone when the boss is calling and then get all pissy when she is mad, those scenes just bothered me. I think they should be more forgiving. Someday they might have a job that is tolling, too. What do you think?

I had a job like that...where my phone rang every 15 minutes sometimes. My friends and family were understanding at first, but soon it became difficult as it interuppted important things. I think her friends were OK at first, but when it started to come in the way of traditions, they were unhappy. And a year is a long time, a lot can happen in that time.

Yeah it definitely would be hard to deal with, it's true. But the scene where her phone rings in the restaurant and they steal it from her really bothered me though. Naturally she was freaked out and they got all pissy about it. That was the scene where it really bothered. I just think it's annoying and childish when people do stuff like steal your phone.

Hi anna728,
I like that movie. That is the real thing when we deal with someone who think the are everything. The boss want everything done fast and perfect. The co-worker think that she is senior and have a right to bully his newer friend. I think that's happen almost everywhere.
The best part for me is when she left the job and get her dream job.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day.
