Fight Over 5-Legged Puppy

Lilly a Chihuahua/Terrier mix came into this world in June 2009. She was sold on July 19, 2009. Lilly's 5th leg was between her 2 hind legs. They were showing a video of the puppy running around the house. She's cute as a button & didn't even notice the extra leg. A gentleman (if you can call him that) that runs a Coney Island Freak of Nature show claims he had made arrangements to buy the puppy. A local woman who heard of the deal paid $6,000 for the puppy & planned on having the 5th leg removed next week. Once Mr freak show heard of it, he made arrangements to sue to get the puppy. Apparently the lady has some money and/or one of the biggest hearts I've ever heard of. She had the 5th leg removed yesterday so the freak show guy would no longer have the need for the puppy. I have not heard yet how the puppy is dong. I hope that she will be just fine when it's all said & done. I think this woman is a hero!!! What's your thoughts???

I think this woman is absolutely wonderful! Talk about smacking that money hungry S.O.B clean out of the park!

To make her an even bigger hero, she's giving the dog to her sister who lives alone!!! This woman has saved the life of the puppy & giving her sister a new type of love!!!

If anybody deserves a movie, it's Lilly & Allyson!!! The freak show perv says he's going to get her back & sew the leg back on. I wish i could go to New York. I'd kick his azz all by myself!!!

I heard this story just late last night and saw videos of the puppy. I'm so glad that woman got the puppy and arranged to get the extra leg removed so she can have a normal life. I think that if she had wound up with that freak show guy, Lily wouldn't have a good quality life and just be made a spectacle for monetary gain

She's a cutie isn't she??? The freak show guy has said, "Even if it's been taken off, we're going to sew it right back on when we win the civil case. What good is a four-legged puppy to a freak show?" Do me a favor & go to Coney Island & kick his azz please!!! According to a later report, the leg has been removed & she is already up & running around...a happy, healthy puppy. I hope she's allowed to stay like this!!!

What a wonderful story!!! I'm so glad that Lilly found a good home, and I think we should throw that circus freak guy into a cage and see how he likes it.
Yknow, 3 of my cousins in Canada (all brothers) were born with 12 fingers. They had an extra pinky on each hand. Their father is Greek and the midwife who helped with the birth told their parents that being born with extra fingers is a sign of good luck. (Unless of course you are shopping for gloves! LOL Just kidding :p )
So if having an extra fingers is good luck - imagine the luck that comes along with an extra leg! I hope Lilly has a long and happy life!!

What a wonderful woman! I'm sure it's because she has a big heart and lots of compassion. Can you imagine that poor little dog being caged up in a freak show?! That man is horrible. I hope Lilly gets a great home and has a wonderful life and I hope the woman that did this for her has a life full of love and good health.

I finally found it!!! Lilly's 5th leg has been removed & she's up & running around like a normal puppy on four legs!!! Allis well with Lilly for now. The freak show jerk isn't letting this go. He said, "Even if it's been taken off, we're going to sew it right back on when we win the civil case. What good is a four-legged puppy to a freak show?" Can you believe this guy??? He's taking it to Civil Court because he's not going to do without the almighty dollar. I just pray that the court has the sense to leave Lilly with her Guardian Angel!!! I am just beside myself right now!!! Here's Lilly with her Guardian Angel...

Hi LadyM,
I think this lady is brilliant but its a shame really for the little puppy to be born with one leg extra and shame he had to lose one just because of some greedy person, I think he should be one of the freaks in his own whow, I don't like people like that all for the sake of money, the poor little puppy, I reall hope he is happy with this lady.

The lady saved the dog from the greedy guy & has decided to give Lilly to her sister who lives by herself. So, I'm sure both the dog & sister will live in one happy home!!!

I think that is wonderful. I have seen animals with extra fingers and toes but not see one with extra leg. I have a manx cat with five digits instead of four. I think if the animal finds someone that is loving to it, it really does not matter how many limbs it posseses.

So happy to hear someone with a good heart saved his life from a living hell. Shame on the freak show host!!!
