Is learning SEO REALLY all that complicated???

I've been reading from various sources and posts which make it seem like SEO is such a hard thing to do. But it's really common sense. What is so hard about it? You have an extremely helpful tool called Google Keyword Analyzer which finds the highest ranking and most competitive keywords that pertain to your topic. You simply use that, sprinkle those keywords into your content and I say sprinkle because you don't want to overdo it or it won't seem natural, and then you add the keywords to your tags. Am I missing anything here?

But still, okay... lets say you're writing a review on the entire Batman film franchise and you're gonna publish it. There will be keywords that you will simply have to use and can't avoid but have a lot of competition. One keyword that's this description and pertains to that article is well pretty obvious... "Batman". You can't avoid not including it but you can't avoid the competition either. So I mean what's the point really?

Seo is not just about sprinkling the keywords in the content , it is a important part but the major work is back linking which really is the main arsenal for successful promotion of a site. The more we back link the more chances of increasing the visibility of the site.

There is more the SEO then knowing what Keywords to use.
Knowing how to use them, where to use them and how many to use.
Along with links, and backlinks.
Page Rank
Those are some of the key things to know.
