How many hours do you clean?

Okay, I've heard of some people spending 5 to 6 hours per day cleaning their house EVERYDAY! I want to know how many hours per day, everyday, is the average for most people. I spend about 2 hours per day, some days more, some days less. But I have more to do than just clean. So my question is how many hours per day everyday do you spend cleaning your home?

I am not the best person to answer that because I could clean 23hrs out of a 24hr day and my house would still be a mess between the dogs and kids. Honestly if I averaged it out throughout the week though I probably spend an hour to 2 a day cleaning. I never have thought much about it because I just randomly do things while doing other things. Does that make sense? Like I will pick up toys while walking to the bathroom or work on the kitchen while cooking dinner.

I completely understand. I do the same thing, but I do try to devote at least 1 hour every day to clean at least 1 room, like the bathroom or kitchen ect.

I go through the motions of cleaning-sometimes I can't get the motivation to clean at all, some days, I won't stop until it's done. Things that cannot be avoided in my household though are predominantly dishes and wiping down the the table, high chair, and countertops. On average I probably spen up to an hour a day cleaning and picking up. On heavy cleaning days, I will scrub the floors, clean the bathroom, dust, etc. and if I had all those tasks to do in one day, it would take me at least 3 hours to complete everything. I have 3 kids, so cleaning is a necessity. I let the laundry go for a few days at a time. (The dirty laundry baskets are never empty around here-LOL.) Nobody every has to re-wear dirty clothes or sleep on dirty bedding, but I definitely don't keep with the laundry like I should. It's too time consuming, and I don't even have a washer and dryer at home (although there is an onsight washroom for all the aprtments.) If I had my own washer though, I am sure the laundry would be maintained a little better.

It just depends on how much I have to clean I suppose. I don't have to dust every day, so when I dust, and do windows and such, it takes a bit longer. Also, my kids have cleaning chores, which means that I don't have so much to do anymore. They do the dishes and clean the bathroom. They also fold and put away their own laundry. So, I vacuum about every other day, and dust and do windows once or twice a week. I do about a load of laundry a day, or every other day, and that doesn't take long to put away since most of it belongs to my kids. I would say I clean under an hour a day, and my house stays super clean.
