I am going to counseling for issues I have with an ex that I can't get over but we are kind of thinking of dealing with issues in my marriage first .We do have a lot of issues that need addressed and neither of us listen to the other so nothing changes. I brought up marriage counseling as they have that available but he doens't want to go cause he doesn't think we have any problems. But we do and it's gonna come to the point where if he won't go I will have to leave. It's not there yet but more and more it's apparent we need some help if we are to stay together.

Hi, I am sorry to hear about your troubles. However, I am happy to see that you realize the important of getting professional help. I think if the partners go in with an open mind and are willing to take constructive criticisms, the marriage may just survive going throug a divorce. As for as the leftover issues with the ex, remember, if you hangon to the past you can't move on with a positive future. Good luck with your decisions.
