Hair removal - what do you do?

I don't know about anyone else but I HATE to shave. I often use Nair, but the last time I did I ended up with chemical burns. It was a new formula and I didn't do the skin test since I've used Nair in the past with no problems. Why it happened this time I don't know, but I'm a little afraid to try it again right now. This particular Nair has Aloe and something else in it, so it shouldn't have broken me out, I took it off well before my 10 minutes was up, I have no idea. So what do you do and how often? Shave? Wax? Tweeze? Electrolosis (sp?)? Chemical like Nair? Do you use those lotions that say they help slow hair growth when used daily after you shave?

Oh I don't use chemicals or products to take off those underarm hairs. These products can sometimes burn the skin for often usage and it's embarrassing to have dark armpits. It's also hard to whiten the skin again so I'm careful in using products. I just do the traditional way, tweeze. Ever since my underarm hairs started growing I pluck them off. It's a bit tiring plucking but I find it safer and natural way to take the hairs off. It also takes longer for the hair to grow back cause the roots gets pulled of too when you pluck. Ciao!

Huh. I seldom tweeze anything since I'm a weenie and it hurts. lol I've never done my underarms that way. I've tried my legs and the few odd facial hairs or eyebrows, but it hurts so I hate doing it. I never had problems with the chemicals until this one time and now I'm afraid to use them again because of the burn I got, how much it hurt, how long it took to heal and how embarrassing it was explaining how it happened.

Oh yes it sometimes hurt. Sometimes if you pull the hair in the wrong direction it bleeds and then the scar will turn into dark spot as they heal. But turns lighter again after sometime. The best way to pluck the hair without hurting is to do the plucking abruptly and fast. That way you won't feel anything on your skin. I also pluck my eyebrows.
