Ok what would you do if you had a family member who was terminally ill and they asked you to help them commit suicide. Would you do it? If so, why and if not why not?

This would be a very hard situation. I think that it would depend on a number of things for me. First off I have to say that I don't know if I have it in me to do it in the first place but saying I did...I think that I would have to witness a great deal of suffering before I would even consider it. I think that people that have assisted family with this are on the brink of insanity themselves because of the pain they are witnessing a loved one endure. I have seen first hand great suffering and can say honestly that it changes you to see it. In a way helping them end their life is not a lot different than saving one that is supposed to be gone. Either way it might be considered interfering. It is differnt though because ending life is against the laws of humanity and saving one is considered a noble act. This is a question that really makes you think. I had never really thought of it before.

Yes it would depend on how much suffering a person is going thru, if they kept begging me. I also would not want to get caught. Thanks for responding.

Whatever reason it would not be acceptable.. You never own your life, you have no right take it, it is just being borrowed for a while from the Owner of that. What would be the best idea is to pray and convince Him to let the life of our love ones be extended if that His will, if it would just to see our love ones suffer so much pain then let's be practical. Pray to Him to just take his life than looking our love one suffered so much pain and in the end he/she would perish...I hope you got my point....

I just know I would be torn because watching someone in pain is very hard to do. Thank you for responding.

I think it would all depend on the circumstances. How much pain they are in and how long are they supposed to live with this illness. I would not want to sit idly by and watch them suffer with excruciating pain every minute of every day.

Yes it would be hard to sit and watch someone in pain dying. I know if it was my parents and they asked me to it would be hard. Then again I couldn't sit and watch them in pain and suffering. What a hard thing to decide. Thank you for responding.

Euthanasia is still against man's law. Let nature take its course. You don't have to wait for long anyway.

first of all no matter what i wud generate the will to live in the concerned person and make him learn how to be strong despite distress..if i knew those are his last moments then i wud give every possible happiness to him...let him not feel he s goin to die..

If the person was confined to a bed and suffering with pain how would you be able to generate the will to live. I think that would be to hard especially if they know that this is it. Thank you for responding.
