My daughter is just three years old but she is already interested in riding bikes even when she was younger. She has a bike but it has three wheels as she is not capable of balancing a two-wheeled bike. If she is a bit older, I will definitely teach her how to ride a bike.

My daughter is 6.5. She has just started riding her bike without training wheels about 6 weeks ago. She'd been riding it up and down the street to her friend's house with the training wheels on and one day came into the house and demanded that her dad come outside right that minute and take the training wheels off. He did and she almost immediately headed back up the hill to her friends' house and didn't barely even wobble. In the situation of learning to learn a bike with two wheels, it is definitely a time when we as parents should really let the child drive, so to speak.

My son in 9 and he still cannot ride a bike. He never learned because he never really had a place to ride one. He has a bike now that is at my sisters friends house, but he is not confident enough to ride it yet. I don't remember how old I was. I am thinking 5 or 6 though.
