How long do they last?

I've had my cell phone since 2006 and it's in pretty good condition. The screen is not cracked and the thing that covers up the charging area is missing. This is only my second phone. My brother, dad and boyfriend have all had trouble with their phones. My dad tends to drop his a lot and the screen on his is always cracked. My brother is just rough with his and doesn't take very good care of it and my boyfriend just has bad luck. So, how long has your phone lasted for you? Do you feel like you take very good care of your phone? How many times have you had to replace your phone?

I have had my phone for the past year and a half. My phones always last me as long as I want them to, but the thing is that I never keep them a long time. I always end up getting a new one when it comes out and I like it. I usually dont keep a cell phone longer than two years and it is getting to that point where its almost time for a new one.

I understand that. I wish I could get a new one. I feel like there are a lot of new phones with new features that I would like to have but I am in college and on my parent's plan so it is their choice whether or not to get me a new phone. I don't understand why they won't get me a new one. My brother broke his right after they got it for him.

Sometimes you just cant really get what you want. You are probably better off waiting everytime a new phone comes out and I get it, a better one comes out just weeks later. And since I just get the phones it is hard to upgrade until you have it for a year or two.

Yeah. I guess I'm good as long as my phone still works. It is frustrating though that my parents will buy my brother a brand new one that he purposely messed up right after he just got the other one. The newest technology is not always the best. I would like a phone with a keyboard so I can text easier. I don't need a phone that I can check my email on or play games on. It's amazing how phones have so many useless features.

i really take good care of my cell phone, since I don't have enough money to buy for another. my cellphone is 3 years old now but its very nice, no hassle in using it. I really appreciate that I have this kind of cellphones and I really use it in many ways even in my job. We should take good care of our cellphones so that it will last longer. what about you how old is your cellphone?

I had a phone for 3 years. My parents recently got me a new one since I'd had the other one for so long. I'm glad they got me a new one. I'm in college and I don't feel like I have to have the coolest phone but I do need something reliable since I'm not close to home to replace something if it breaks.

I don't have any of my phones long enough for them to wear out. I try to keep a phone for a year or so, and then replace it. By that time there are nicer phones out there, and every time I get a new one, a better one comes along, go figure. I don't as of right how use all the features of my phone. It is internet capable, but I have to pay $30 extra every month to have it. When I get a new phone though, I will probably change my plan so I can have the internet so if I have to babysit for my son, then I can still come in here and not miss coming in. I do have a music player on my phone, and I do have around 200 songs on it. I do listen to them once in awhile, but nit all that much. I want a phone where I can use the internet, and be able to check my email and send email as well. Have a very good day, and happy mylotting.

Wow! $30 extra for internet on your phone. That sounds like a lot to me. I don't know if I would want the internet on my phone. To a point, its enough that somebody can reach me anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I would feel like that would just give them another way to be hooked up to me. Plus, I'm on my laptop a lot when I'm not in class. I wish my parents would replace my phone more often but I understand that its not a priority and that the money needs to be used for other things.
