Has anybody else noticed that country music is now gone? Now all we have are them boy girl bands out there screeching about garbage. We have people on CMT rapping. I am quite disappointed because most of it now a days is just pop!!! What the heck happened to country music, and where is it now? Is anyone else mad about this?

I've been addicted to country music for close to three years now and I've been sharing my faves to my siblings any chance I get. I'm not so sure about your area, but Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift are growing on the people here. I was pleasantly surprised when I heard their songs playing in our local radio!

The real country music is alive and well! It's just hidden in the Blue Ridge Mountain area of Virginia and North Carolina. The town of Galax Virginia and surrounding area is the hub. You can also find the great old music on streaming radio on your computer. Try "blueridgecountry98.com" and also "classiccountry1060am.com" I enjoy listening to both!

I love country music and I help a few country bands here in Australia, it is sad how things are going, I think a lot of country music artists are now selling their music from their webpages and not going through the big companies therefore are not getting all the promotion...I wish the selling of music from the personal webpages of artists would really take off and show those big companies they are not the only way to go.

I love the oldies and rising syars too but your right where is the country gone like to see some of the newbies try singing forthemselves no more knock offs... we sing it hard to get any boby to sing what we write about now.

I hear that. I love country too. It seems like the same songs play over and over because they are not putting out as much music
