I commute on the subway to school every day, 45 minutes each way. Usually I will read my homework, but other times I do feel sleepy enough to close my eyes. I don't think I have ever actually fallen asleep on the subway, but I have rested my eyes many times. I don't know, I guess I have trouble sleeping in anything other than a bed or sofa, or a similar piece of furniture.

I am not sure if its a disorder. I mean, say that you woke up really early to get to work and while your on way, you get sleepy, add the vibration that you get to experience while the vehicle is moving along its way. I have slept in my trips on going to school most of the time. The trip would be around one to one and a half hour or, if traffic is terrible, perhaps more than two hours. (-_-")

Six hours of sleep compared to eighteen hours of being awake and doing something like work? Who wouldn't get tired of that? What kind of work are you doing by the way? Maybe it is more demanding and exhausting than what we're expecting..?

This is true for me too. Whenever I'm inside a vehicle, i get sleepy within 10-15 minutes. It seem like my body reacts immediately whenever I'm inside a vehicle. I don't know if it a disorder. Well, i don't mind if its a disorder or something since its very helpful to me. I need to sleep while traveling to somewhat gain energy since I'm always lack of sleep and I travel for about 1.5-2 hours so it helpful since i don't wanna be awake all the time whenever I'm traveling since i get dizzy often.

hi....fuuyuki Thank you for sharing you opinion in this forum. If you are sleeping in the vehicle due to lack of sleep at home it is well and good. If it is a disorder dont neglect it. Have a great day

Me too, I can easily sleep whenever I'm on journey, especially if its the car taht my father drive. That's why when I bought my car, my brother kept remembering me not to sleep while driving because he well aware how I'm so fond of sleeping while on journey. I don't know that its a disorder and now I also put a habit sleeping while taking a flight because if not face, especially neck will be hurting. I like to sleep. Happy Mylotting

Hi....ucue It is not good to develop the habit of sleeping while travelling . Because there will be a tendancy to sleep while you drive also. Thank you for participating in this topic. Happy mylotting

It depends on what kind of vehicle it is. If it is a bus, I would probably sleep. I won't sleep in a regular vehicle. I figure if I dont' ever do it then it won't ever be a comfortable thing for me to do and it will help prevent me from going to sleep while I am driving. It may be silly, but that's what i think.

We will remain awake in long travel if we are traveling to the place for the first time or there are some interesting friends for company. But a stereotyped journey is boring. You see the same scenery daily and almost travel with the same types of faces. One cannot avoid sleeping in this circumstance. In fact,it will be good relief from the tiresome journey and you can step down refreshed.Cheers!

Hi........ganesh You are right. We will remain awake if it is a journey to a new place to us. Even if we are tired also we will remain awake. Travelling criss cross the country is part of my job. So I experienced that also. As you said a sterotyped journey is boring . Thank you for participating in this discussion and happy mylotting.

Hello mdvarghese this is checkmail and donot often travel much but travelling means fun and excitment for me.Its like an sadventure for me, i like to imagine a race of the vechiles on the way, mostly gets the seat besides the driver. There are lot of wonderful things which we can watch while traveling it doesn't make me bore but instead cheerish me much.Even if i am tiered than also i can't sleep while travelling as its also in not a proper position to get a sleep.

Hi...checkmail Thank you for participating in this discussion. As you opined travelling is fun, excitement and adventure. But if we are travelling daily in the same route and same destination, I will be bored . Have a nice day
