Too much time together is driving me crazy?

I wonder how many of us here are pensioners? After working for so many years it comes as no shock that one of us has developed a life apart from work and relationship, while the other hasn't a clue. It took me a long time to get used to the idea (and the reality) of the shift and change in my life, attitudes, roles and schedules. I am used to working life and when I took an early exit from the workforce it drives me crazy to see my spouse also a retiree (just retired) at home 24/7 without anything better to do. How do you spend the days together without driving each other crazy?

Might as well go out of the garden and plant vegetables, at least it exercises the body and release some sweat rather than getting on the nerves of each other.

That is a good idea. But once back from vacation it will return to a square one again. It is boring seeing the same grumpy old man day in and day out.
