Now couch surfing is more and more popular around travelers around the world. Basically travelers find people who want to provide free sleeping place for them. so travelers can get free bed, also the host can know people from another world. now the couch surfing people already have reached one million. So my question is if someone provide you a chance will you take the free treatment? or will you give people the offer if you have spare bed?

it's like a film i watched before. one english girl exchanged her house with an american lady. i forgot the name now, but it was popular. It's really romantic film. i wish i can have the chance to try couch surfing with friends i met online. happy mylotting.

Hello sblossom this is checkmail and wonder why i am not able to sleep while i am travelling to some places.Whenever i travel, surprisingly i don't sleep at all in the journey, just enjoy the scenery and beauty of nature.Well if got an free couch can spent some time for taking rest and not for sleep and back again to my expedition. And if got one might offer it to someone if noble in nature.

I have read about couch surfing and think it is an excellent idea. I browsed through a list of destinations and profiles. It must be lovely to stay with friendly hosts and get inside tips about worthwhile sightseeing. I wouldn't be able to offer accommodation to travelers because my house is too small. I have two young children so I think I would do better staying at a guest house than a private home. If I was a single person without children or part of a couple I think couch surfing would be fun. If only it had been around when I began traveling as a teenager.

it's obsolutely true. it's more suitable with teenagers or young people. they have energy and they don't mind too much the bed is comfortable or not. when i was a teenager i had no chance to travel, just stayed at home to study. it's too sad. thanks for reply, happy myLotting.

I have heard of this practice before but personally, I am quite reluctant to do this. As much as I want some quality interaction with locals of a place I'm visiting, it's hard to be too trusting with people you haven't even met. I'm sure there's a security measure for this kinds of arrangements but I am still not enthusiastic about the idea. I might consider it if I know the owner or I know somebody in nearby area which can guarantee my safety and security. I might consider this if I'm in a group and a company or organization I trust recommends the owner of the house I'm staying at. But this will have to be my last resort

i also think about the safety issue. So i guess they must have some management to be sure the travels are safe and hosts are safe too. however there is some risk in the couch surfing too. thanks for reply, happy Mylotting.
