My interpretation of happiness is... Happiness is a state of mind. What is happiness for me may not be for other people, some people have so much in life, but they are too used for having what they have. Due to that they do not know how lucky they are till the lose or throw away what some would give everything to have. So, for me happiness is to be able to be with my family and take good care of them in the best way they deserve. To be healthy and able to fend for myself and those in need. Life is extremely beautiful for some and terrible for others. The way you see life and the way you consider yourself happy is based on how mach value you give for what you have now. We all want more and I think that we should fight for it, but never forget how important simple things were for us once.

My interpretation of happiness is a godly amount of hard rain,(which means no one is coming to visit you)while sharing a hot cup of coffee with my husband in a moment of blissful peace!

Someone once said he will be happy if proven money cannot buy him happiness. Happiness to me means no stress and no worries and one is able to think and live freely. One need not be afraid of uncertainties and is always prepared for challenges.

Dear whyaskq, Thanks for sharing your opinion on happiness! Your key words : no stress, no worries (absolutely correct) think and live freely (true, true, true!) Your last sentence really deserve a standing ovation! So this song lyric can be included here : Don't Worry, Be Happy! Cheers, and do keep in touch!

Happiness to me is being with my love ones. I am happy when I am celebrating my parents birthday, thankful for them being born into this world as without them, there will be no ME. I am happy to be married to my husband. I am happy to have my little boy. And I am happy seeing him grow up each day. To me, happiness is simple. Happiness to me is not about the material things I have, it is whatever makes me smile each day. Waking up in the morning to see my husband and my little boy by my side is happiness and bliss for me! And being in myLot makes me happy too! Hahaha

For me at the moment, I will want to live life in a healthy way, and able to care for my little baby girl till she is grown (however, knowing mother, our child will never be grown) I am happy that my mum is living healthy and she will not need to suffer from any kind of sickness... I am happy once my 2 brothers are able to be independent and have their own beautiful life.. I am happy, that my $ in bank is sufficiently enough to cover my expenses and have a minimal of savings... I am happy with myself if there is no other difficult obstacles in my way! How about yours?

Yes, we should be happy and contented that everyone of us is healthy, enough provisions and living peacefully here, sharing views here at myLot too! lol Yes, as a mother, I too are very happy to see our child grow up...every development , every smile they give us, is a JOY to us... HAPPINESS is always there..it is whether we want to feel it or not?? If we keep complaining and comparing..we overlook the Joy & Happiness that all along is within us! Tks for sharing and happy myLotting!

I had to think about this one :-) Perhaps happiness is the feeling our soul experiences when we are truely greatful and can appreciate the forgotton magic in the things around us whether its the company of our family or even the warmth of the sun on our skin after a cold winter. Perhaps to a certain extent the choice to be happy is ours and is controlled not by others or uncontrollable external circumstances. For example many people who seem to have everything beauty, wealth, luck, good health are unfifilled, unhappy or in many cases depressed while those who seem to have nothing are incredibly happy. Perhaps this may be because they fill their minds and hearts with greatfulness. Instead of seeing what they dont have they see what they do have. Often these people also are willing to offer strangers the little of what they do have. I have often read about tourists travelling to remote and poverty stricken countries and being amazed by the hospitality of the locals who invite them to dinner even when they do not have much food for themselves. These locals manage to laugh and see the bright side of life and often the tourists find that the locals are happier than they have ever been with all their material wealth. Your right everyone has their own individual expectation of happiness in life. Personally for me to be happy I would be living my life to the fullest, using my talents for the good of the rest of the world and having the freedom to travel the world and the free time to spend with my family. Travel and acting are my two passions in life. Perhaps hapiness comes from following ones heart and getting closer to fufilling their purpose on life. That is if we have one. Happiness is quite an interesting concept. When one is truely happy they are unselfish, greatful, fufilled .. and part of the bigger picture of the world. Yet so many people think individual success and material possessions and status will make them happy. Of course material possessions can bring happiness. But only in the short term. E.g think of when you purchase a new shiny object at first you feel happy but in a few weeks your already thinking about your new purchase. Finding happiness this way leaves us chasing our own tails so to speak. Sorry I rambled a bit

My personal definition of happiness is peace of mind. I used to live a different lifestyle and so did my husband. Almost losing him to a heart attack, followed by him almost losing his younger brother to cancer, made us take a look at our priorities and we decided that the one thing our money and our positions could not buy was time with the people we love. We moved to Florida to be closer to his family. Some of my children and grandchildren are here now as are some of his. It's more peaceful here...and having that peace of mind has brought me true happiness.
