The only machine that still has a floppy drive is the server. But I don't use it. In the house we share stuff over the netowrk. If I need to take stuff outside I either use a network drive or put it on a USB flash

You needed a floppy disk to install some older version of Windows. But as the new versions now can read USB drivers while installing this is gone too.

Hey, No I haven't used floppy disks for about 6 years now, personally I think that they will done day just cease to exist, that is what I think anyway. And they only hold about 1.44MB so that is really tiny, you can hardly store one file on it. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

lol :) I will admit to hanging on to floppy disks longer than most people have. I used CDs for backup, but still preferred floppy disks for the ease of working on "living" documents (i.e. if I was writing a paper and wanted to work on it on a school computer). In the last 2 years, I've finally switched over to flash drives, and am loving it. I know I still have stuff on old floppy disks though. I probably should get the stuff off of there soon lol
