I personally think that Acer Aspires are the best pc's, although if you do get one lay the modem on its side otherwise its easily knocked over and can damage the harddrive... I bought one with 320 GB and it worked just well until the modem fell over... had to get a new harddrive... but its a great computer... as long as you lay the modem on its side as its to thin standing up as it could be knocked over.

I think the best computer that you could ever buy is the computer that will suites your needs. If you are a power user and you love playing games, you should focus with the speed and the capacity of the storage. If you are just a blogger or just a net surfer you could consider buying of a net book.

If you are asking as per technology wise then it's core 2 duo.. 2.6 + GHZ.. 3 or 4 GB of RAM.. 512 MB Graphic card.. 8 USB slots.. attractive cabinet with different front light colors.. and of course with genuine Operating System and Softwares.. but practically the best computer can be P2 too.. best computer is which is in budget (first thing ).. able to perform task which we need.. you need windows 98 to run your business softwares then core 2 duo (which doesn't support OS lower than XP) won't work..

hi,i dont know what purpose will you buy and use high-performance computer, if you only study graph design, you will buy professional video card, big memory and strong cpu, not buy game video card, professional video card is expensive usually, if you only play game, you will buy game video card, not too expensive, hundred dollar can buy good game video card enough, of course memory is 4GB enough, unless you want run in 64 system or work in server host, cpu is 4 core strong enough to play GTA4, GTA4 is a kind of game which recommends the highest cpu.... if you only type in mylot and talk in chat always, you sould need least performance computer (laugh)

I think it really depends on your needs. If you are a gamer, then you would need to spend a lot of money for the graphics card, and a lot of ram and memory. I`m assuming your an everyday web user, so you could get a great computer for under $1000 at dell.com. Some key things to keep in mind is the price, how much disk space, RAM, graphics, and if you are buying in a combo. Most companies sell you a combo with a monitor, keyboard and mouse for $100`s of dollars less, so always check for coupons.

As a computer technician I better suggest a local assembled with a good technician will end up in a low cost rather than going for branded. 1) Sys performance for ur need. If it is only official and for data use means its better to have a low RAM and low cost processor. 2) the screen really matters for long hours viewing, flat LCD display is better.
